Words to Encourage – Proverbs 4:23

“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs 4:23, ESV

If you need some words of encourage this week, here is Proverbs 4:23. Sometimes life can really get to us and wear us down, but no matter what we are going through, we need to guard our hearts and minds in our Lord Christ Jesus.

It may be tempting to answer in kind, repay unkindness with unkindness, lash out at those who hurt us or do us wrong, or whatever the situation may be.

However, it is in times of great stress and turmoil that our true characters are revealed. Do we have a character molded in the image of Christ? Are we bearing the fruit of His spirit? Friends, let us guard our hearts.
